Winery visit - Vino Petric
In the small village Slap in Vipava Valley in Slovenia, you can find Vino Petrič. We visited Vino Petrič because we heard that they have Peach wine. Yep, you read it correctly - peach wine. So we went to buy the Peach wine and ended up having a quick wine tasting with Urban who is the winemaker.
More information about Vino Petrič and Urban, read on their webpage (https://vino-petric.com/en/).
Bellow you are going to find my tasting notes and a few pictures. All the information about the wines and the production methods were provided by Urban Petric and available also on their webpage.

The color is medium to deep lemon (didn't have a white paper to put under and take a picture).
Very strong aromas of peach, nectarine, yellow tree fruits, sweet citrus.
The very same aromas continue in flavor, where the peach kind of takes over. In the aftertaste, the freshness from Zelen is very present.
* Vineyards are planted on marl soil with south-east exposure.
* Production: hand-harvested grapes in mid-September. Maceration for 32 hours and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Maturation 2 months on lees in the stainless steel tanks + minimum of 4 months maturation in the bottle before sale.

Medium+ body with a long finish.
* Vineyards are planted on marl soil with south-east exposure.

The longer maceration period gives better color extraction, a better body, and more antioxidants, keeping the wine stable. Spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels. Maturation 9 months in Slavonian oak barrels (500 l). Bottled at the waning moon 10 months after harvest date. No filtration, with very little levels of sulfites. Additional maturation in the bottle of at least months before release.
